By booking a service with Taxio online transfers platform, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions. These apply to all bookings made through our website, phone, or email.
General Agreement
By confirming your booking, you agree to these terms and conditions. You confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and are at least 18 years of age. All services provided by Taxio are subject to the terms outlined herein.
Role of Taxio
Taxio acts as an intermediary and agent to connect you with the right driver and vehicle for your journey. We are responsible for coordinating your booking and ensuring that you are matched with a driver and vehicle suitable for your needs.
Driver Credentials: We ensure that all drivers we work with possess the appropriate local authority driver badges and licenses, as required by law. All drivers undergo regular background checks to ensure they meet safety and professional standards.
Vehicle Compliance: All vehicles provided through Taxio are fully compliant with legal requirements, including having passed the required MOT (Ministry of Transport) inspection. Additionally, all vehicles are covered by valid business insurance, ensuring that you are traveling in safe, secure, and insured vehicles.
Limitations of Liability: While we strive to ensure the highest quality of service, Taxio does not operate the vehicles nor directly employ the chauffeurs. We do not bear responsibility for any actions of the driver or vehicle beyond our agent role. We act solely to facilitate the booking and connection with a suitable driver and vehicle.
Bookings
Booking Confirmation: All bookings made with Taxio will be confirmed via email or other authorized communication. Please ensure that your booking details are accurate.
Choosing the Right Vehicle: It is your responsibility to select the appropriate vehicle based on the number of passengers and luggage. Taxio will not accept liability for any issues caused by incorrect vehicle selection, and additional charges may apply for unsuitable vehicles.
Customer Information: You must provide accurate and up-to-date information, such as flight details and contact numbers. Failure to do so may result in the booking being classified as a no-show and additional charges may apply.
Pricing Errors: In the event of a pricing error, Taxio reserves the right to correct the price or cancel the booking if the product was listed incorrectly.
Price Changes: All prices are subject to change without notice. Please confirm pricing at the time of booking.
Cancellations
Cancellation Policy: To cancel your booking, please contact Taxio at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the pick-up time will incur a full charge.
No-Show Policy: If you fail to show up or cannot be contacted within the waiting time window, your booking will be considered a no-show, and you will be charged the full amount.
Waiting Time
Free Waiting Time: For residential or address pick-ups, the free waiting time is 15 minutes. For airport or seaport pick-ups, the free waiting time ranges from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the service class.
Late Arrivals: If you exceed the waiting time and cannot be reached, your booking may be canceled and additional charges for waiting time may apply. Please ensure that you are available for contact at the agreed time.
Passenger Responsibilities
Safety and Conduct: All passengers must wear seat belts at all times. Taxio reserves the right to refuse service to any passenger who is intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or engages in disruptive behavior that may jeopardize the safety or comfort of the driver or other passengers.
Damages: You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle, either intentional or accidental. Cleaning fees may apply for any spills or damage to the vehicle, with a minimum charge of £250.
Child Seats: It is the responsibility of the adult passenger to ensure that children are secured in appropriate child restraints. Taxio can provide car seats for an additional fee, but installation of the car seat is the passenger’s responsibility.
Journey and Delays
Timeliness: Taxio strives to ensure punctual service. However, we are not liable for delays due to external factors, such as traffic, weather, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns. In case of such delays, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Subcontracting Services: During peak times, we may subcontract additional vehicles to meet demand. Please account for possible delays, especially for airport, train, and seaport transfers.
Payment
Payment Methods: Payments are accepted by debit/credit card. Please ensure payment is made in full prior to your scheduled journey. We accept all major credit cards.
Surcharges: Services between 22:00 and 05:00 are subject to a 20% surcharge. For services on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, or Boxing Day, a 50% surcharge applies.
Additional Fees: Any tolls, parking charges, congestion fees, or other charges incurred during the journey will be added to the final fare.
Health & Safety
Safe Driving: Our chauffeurs are trained to drive responsibly and in accordance with traffic laws and safety regulations. Taxio has a strict policy against alcohol and drug use. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone under the influence or behaving inappropriately.
Non-Smoking Policy: All Taxio vehicles are non-smoking. Passengers are asked to respect this policy during their journey.
Fraud Prevention
Taxio is committed to maintaining secure and legitimate transactions. If we suspect fraudulent activity related to a booking, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse the booking without prior notice. Indicators of fraud may include:
Inconsistent or incorrect booking details
Unauthorized payment methods or chargebacks Previous history of fraudulent transactions Suspicious booking behavior or multiple failed payment attempts We may report suspected fraudulent activity to the relevant authorities.
Liability & Disclaimers
Limit of Liability: While Taxio aims to provide reliable and timely services, we cannot be held responsible for delays or damages caused by circumstances outside our control, such as traffic, weather conditions, or accidents.
Personal Property: Passengers’ personal property is carried at their own risk. Taxio is not liable for any loss or damage to property during the journey.
Changes to Terms & Conditions
Taxio reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and any bookings made after such changes will be subject to the updated terms.
